3 Things About Obama

August 15, 2007 / by thinline

Since Obama has been unable to gain any air speed, he has gone on the offensive.  Bear in mind that his media Smarm Master David Axelrod is the one who pulled out lurid stories against two of Obama’s opponents in the senate race. Expect dirty dealing. Obama does not like to be confronted or to lose and will do what it takes to win. The race is going to get ugly, very ugly.

That being said, ThinLine hopes that in these over 100 postings that voters know three things:

1.     Obama IS a Washington insider.  Picking up Daschle’s hand me down Washington Insider staff made Obama an Instant Washington Insider. In fact, from what ThinLine has heard on the Hill, new members of Congress generally have a mix of qualfied campaign loyalists and Washington Insiders in their top Hill staff positions. Bringing in 100% Washington Insiders, like Obama did, not to mention the startling lack of diversity on the basis of race and gender, was worse than business as usual.

2.     Obama does and always did take PAC money, he just takes it indirectly now through spouses and "networks." But he takes it. And his protestations otherwise are a text book example of his double talk and flat out misrepresentations.

3.     Obama is not who he says he is.  An article in the Sun Times speaks to the illusion and the reality.  Excerpt here:

On Monday, Obama was told by a woman that "you've got to stop -- excuse me for being blunt -- you've got to stop getting involved in the way people are fighting each other, chewing you up a little more," AP reported.

"That's what you do when you run for president," Obama responded.
