An Illinois voter referred me to a recent article in Chicago Magazine titled “The Speech” detailing the facts surrounding the drafting and delivery of the now famous 2004 Democratic Convention speech so perfectly and persuasively offered by Barack Obama.
The Illinois voter notes that the article reminds us that there was a time, before the arrival of the Beltway Boys, when Obama called his own shots.
But the voter also noticed that all the people mentioned in the article associated with the Obama campaign who had any input into the end result, those being,
David Axelrod
Robert Gibbs
Darrel Thompson
David Plouffle
Dan Shomon
David Katz
John Kupper,
were, well, all men.
Maybe it's the basketball thing the NYT blasted all over the front page today?
